He also has a small lump on his back but we are unsure what it is, so a close eye is being kept upon it.

So at the vets he had an injection ...

I was thinking that maybe at some stage, not soon but i a year or two. That i would get a boa constrictor (hopefully a red tail but not for sure). I think there are real nice snakes but i would not be able to fit it in my animal room so i was wondering if i could keep it in an outdoor cage.

Please note that i live in South Africa. It never never really gets under 15"c (about).

So if i got a big wooden box and put a heat pad in it and lots of moss or some kind of insulator ...

My wife doesn't like the idea of feeding mice to the snake so i'm looking for a snake that mabe eats fish or insects. It would still need to be pretty hardy has anyone got any ideas.

There's a knock on my door. I stumble, half awake, in my underwear, to see who it is at this hour. I open the door and a child, no more than 10, is all out of breath and excitable and is trying to say something. It sounds like, "Can you come and kill a snake at my house?" I say, "There's a snake at your house?" He answers, "Yeah." So I tell him to wait a second, I go put on some pants and shoes, go grab my snake stick and a grabber tool and go back to the door ...

We used to laugh and laugh watching the rodents run around his viv and hang out and sleep next to him and he just went about his business and never would eat rodents.

Not mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils....

We tried frozen, live, fresh-killed....

It didn't matter. We could not get him to eat them. We used to call him "Notta". Notta rat snake.

It was such a hard decision to decide who I should keep and who needs to go, probably the hardest one I've ever had to make.
hi all-got these up on another site but would also appreciate your feedback. Think she is gravid, can feel bumps on along her belly and she was with a male for about a month (just separated), she is due a shed now.

She has been roaming loads, and i have put in various nesting sites. She is alos snappy which is unlike her. Last week she refused a mouse, butshe was with boyo still and if he went near her she twicthed and jerked. So she ate 3 fuzzies last night and almost my fingers!

Ever since he’d had the snake whenever handled it secreted fluid all over ur hand 2 or 3 times. I’m guessing he’s does this because he’s nervousness. I have read this is common with Milk snakes. I’ve started handling him every day (except day after feeding) and already he's starting to settle down (only soaks me ...

Basically, it looks like the two of them are fighting to get the highest ground they can and/or wrestle the other to a point below them. Initially I was concerned that some sort of ...

I am so happy, let me explain ...

I had an eggbound corn many many months ago that suvived but it was a terrible ordeal for her and I thought she was going to die.

Well; from her clutch only 4 eggs were fertile, from those eggs were 3 amels and a snow. 2 of the amels and the snow ate straight away and went to new homes.

One little amel would not feed, he/she hatched on the 10th September and refused the first few feeds, it was very very tiny, like no other corn I've ever seen, ...
