I call any Friday that's a feeding day for the reptiles, "Payday" ever since the movie, Dave, where Kevin Kline says, "Well, today is Friday, and we all know that (and then everyone chimes in together) Everyone gets paid on Friday".

So payday, feeding day, Friday, it is.

I know there's a lot of algae. I know there's too much sun light. I know there's not enough aeration. I'm working on it. But pardon the mess and enjoy the pictures.

Australian Saltwater Crocodiles

Saltwater crocodiles are by far the most dangerous animals in Australia.

They are huge, aggressive, territorial, and plentiful across the north of the Australian Outback.

It always amazes me how so many tourists are paranoid about Australian snakes and spiders, but do the stupidest things near the water...

Australian saltwater crocodiles kill on average one to two people per year!

You don't need to be paranoid about crocodiles, paranoia never helps. ...

Each fence post is approximately 6 feet apart, so you can sort of tell that this first pond is going to be the big one.

The last one is our newest rescue. I know there's not a lot of experience with caiman on this site, but those of you that know anything about reptiles should be able to agree with me on one thing.

The guy brought the one shown in the third picture to me because it was "too big for him to handle". I looked at it and felt it was healthy, 22 inches (about 56 cm) and maybe about 2 years old. I felt it could use some calcium and UVA and UVB. The guy left. He called ...
