Rescued Royal From Leeds Tonight Empty
PostSubject: Rescued Royal From Leeds Tonight   Rescued Royal From Leeds Tonight EmptyWed Jan 23, 2008 2:05 am

Well after 2 and a half hour drive and 105 miles we have just got back from Leeds with the poorly royal python that was listed on RFUK.
The female royal has been previously rescued from an animal abuser that thought it was a good idea to gather his mates around for a snake fighting party. Apparently this guy used to throw one mouse in between two royal pythons for them to fight over. The male, which the guy in Leeds has (Not the abuser), has burns but is recoverying nicely from the kind rescuer who took on these snakes. The female has done amazingly well as she has suffered some horrendous injuries from the snake fighting, such as bad bites and broken ribs to name a few. She has been burnt badly and though the burns are healing they are open in places still. But the guy who we got her from was worried because she has begun to lose weight as she isn't eating regulary. I have been provided with a feeding record so we shall see how we get on. Will post pics tomorrow and update further as I really need a chill time.

Yes they are love... it's been a long road for this girl and if it wasn't for the original guy who too her from the thug/abuser then she would of been dead.
Good news is she shed last, though it was broken it has all come off as most was in one piece. Here is the latest pic after her shed and a betadine bath.
