Okay, I am sitting in a cage with 40 deadly snakes for the next 82 days. Already completed 28 days.
The event is to raise money for charity and for the expansion of our park.

Feel free to check out

I sleep very little, generally when the snakes are inactive, but the mambas are spiteful, and usually join me in bed Well, its an event :) 3521

As to boredom, studies, internet, dvd's

I personally don’t mind the snakes but cant handle being cooped up in a cage for any length of time.
Then to having to entertain people staring in at ever turn would shorten my fuse somewhat.

AFRIKAANS IS BAIE LEKKER .

One day Lettie wanted to bake a cake, but she ran out of eggs.
So she went to her usual grocery store in the Dorp where she lived. As she
walked in, the owner, Piet was there and she asked him for a dozen eggs.
She went back home and baked the cake. To her surprise the eggs were
rotten/ frot, so she went back to the store and this time Piet wasn't there,
but his wife Annette was there.

Lettie approached Annette and said" Weet jy, jou
man het vrot eiers?" Annette obviously shocked and upset said: "Hoe weet
jy my man het vrot eiers?" Lettie replied, " Kom ruik my koek ."

When you say you sleep very little, just how much sleep are you getting and isn't lack of sleep causing problems like hallucinating for example?

Not really. I sleep about 4 hours a night, so its not complete lack of sleep. But one night's proper rest would be awesome.

Ok. Forgive me for sounding a bit thick but are the snakes roaming around or an enclosure of their own? If hey are roaming around how the hell do you not get bit and invenomated? Trying to get an infrom your site to this is impossible unless I AM thick and have missed it LOL.

They are free roaming snakes. They can go where they feel like.
Understanding the animal's behaviour goes a long way to not getting bit

no, all the snakes have no problems with each other.

The loo has open access for them too, they are not allowed to be restricted in here

I am under correction but I think Austin sat with snakes for 107 days.

I think this was after some American chap was in a cage with 6 rattlers for 105 days.

What’s the size of your enclosure. I hear it is about a 12 m sp with a 1m extension "stoep"?

Have the Black mambas chilled out as yet as these guys take a little longer to settle down than other species?

How many different species have you got and have you any Forest Cobras?

Post some pictures if possible.

In here I have 40 snakes

Black mambas
Green Mambas
Snouted Cobras
Boomslang
Puff Adders

The area is 12 sq with a 1 metre stoep extension.

The Black Mambas are getting bolder and bolder, making confrontations with them a regular occurrance.

Somewhat. They have no problem having a nap with me, or joining me in the shower, or parking off with me while I have a cup of tea..... as long as I don't move while they are doing it Well, its an event :) 3521
