Feeding Pre-Killed vs. Live Prey
1) What is your opinion even if the law forbids this practice it is still done behind closed doors.
2) What is your opinion pertaining to this law either way?

| pre-killed, its almost stero-type when thinking of feeding reptiles. and is seen to be the "fairest" and "safest" option, therefore your can insure that a dead mouse is not going to bite your reptile. lol | |

| With some of my animals I can only feed live prey no matter the law. | |

| Lots of reasons depending on circumstances and the species of snake but O.K here is one.
I catch a snake in the ‘wild’ that has been hurt and needs medical treatment before rehabilitation. I keep the animal for a couple of weeks and so must feed the W.C snake.
I am unable to expose the animal to something contrary to its natural surroundings so must feed as if the animal was in the wild. That being live. If I do not do this I would be unable to release the animal back in the wild due to a human imprint.

No, snakes hunt live prey only.

| Regardless of law I would feed live IF I had to as a last resort. | |
