| I got an email from a lady who has a reptile farm in Ohio. We'd talked a bit on one of the other reptile forums I belong to (you mean there is another reptile forum? OMG! Is this true?) and she is expanding her business to include caiman, crocs and gators. She would like to take all six of our caiman to Ohio for two years. She has some long range plan, that includes education, children and ecology, but I didn't need the specifics at this point.
So, Joanne showed up in a step van with two guys that are even bigger than me! I helped them get the caiman and load them onto their truck and I said my goodbyes to the nastiest, meanest, toothiest friends I've had in a long time.
As the weather gets warm and I can take my time and do things right, I'll get things squared away, settled down and back on track.
I was thinking that this might just be the answer I need to get my enclosure finished, have a place for the crocs for the winter (or three) and not have to worry about the neighbors or a time constraint.
And this morning, I felt lonely! | |
