Motley boa to .........

Hey folks,

I have a Male Motley Boa and although he is still a youngster, I am planning on buying a female in September (next student loan payment )

What do you think would go best with him? I'm considering an Aberesque.

Is it true that you don't need to breed Motley to Motley (or het) to get Motley babies? Could someone please explain the reason to me? I was told but didn't fully understand and didn't want to seem like an idiot by virtually asking the same questions over and over again until it sank in
