| Well this morning I took Harriet to the 'International Zoo Veterinary Group (UK)' in Bradford, it took me an hour and a half for a 35 min journey traffic was that bad it's only 13.5miles one way, was nearly 15 mins late for my appointment. The outcome is as follows: The vet wasn't happy with my previous vet who should have referred me sooner etc etc, she operated straight away to remove the lump and is sending it to be analyzed, swab also taken. Gave her 3 injections 1xantbiotic, 1x vitamins, 1xpain killer, gave me 5 injections to give her 1 every 3 days - antibiotic, plus some zoolyte to bathe her in daily and cost me the princely sum of £319. On top of this I had to pay my previous vet's bill of £125 to get an up to date summary of medical treatment told 'em I was taking her to see a specialist - TOO TRUE. She has to go back in a fortnight, has to be on a Tuesday cos that's when the eye specialist is also there, means a half day off work but...... hopefully she should be fine........ YIPPEE Good news at last. Sorry this is such a longwinded post by the way! Plus she won't lose her eye, vet thinks it may possibly have been caused by a vit A deficiency. Pic of what it was like | |
