| On tv, radio, magazine, in fact almost everywhere you here the debate of whether global warming is a natural phenomenon or whether it is infact down to man. Do you feel it is down to man, and if it is how can we make changes? Or maybe you feel its simply natures way and out of our hands? Please discuss... | |

| i think its nature, ok we may have added to it but what about the ice agaes that have bin and gone, evolution is the word here i think, the government just make it an issue so they can tax more look at the new law that has come out this week if you drive a 12 and half ton and over, desial truck in london you will get fined £200 a day! what a scam if its such a problem ban cars, planes, aresole cans, making plastic and just about every thing else that is bad for the environment, but then again look at the ban on smoking in public and in your own car if its that bad for you make it illegal. sorry rant over. lol | |

| I agree. This world is naturally changing now, as it always has. Even the bio-diesels they were relying so heavily on for a reduction in CO2 levels, they found out produce extremely high levels of methane, which is also a horrible greenhouse gas. There's no stopping nature. When she wants to blow your house down, it's coming down!
And with all this talk of global warming, how come it's the coldest winter on record in Texas?

| According to the news here in the North West UK, we have had the wettest January in 80 years, and the second wettest since records began. In my garden my Honeysuckle for the past few years has been budding late December /early January, instead of Spring. So yes is not that cold no more here. When I was a child, probably some 30 years ago, we used to get lots of snow and often folk needed to be dug out of their homes.
But I am not entirely convinced it's down to mans pollution, ok we have played a part i'm sure but i do feel it's mainly mother nature. A while ago I watched a program about volcanoes, the Little Ice Age and Climate change. According to that scientists have been able to study trees and understand more about Climate Changes. Here is a link to explain more. The program made me understand that the earth warming and then cooling has gone on for many centries now and it just a part of the Cirle Of Life. Further link of interest maybe, go here.

| I do not agree that global warming is a natural phenomenon. We humans are consuming natural resources faster that what can be replaced. Look at the rain forests. We are polluting the air and water, which are the bases for any life. Things like Carbon Dioxide (CO2), which is natural, but cant be absorbed faster enough to compensate for fossil burning fuels and the ever increasing world population.
We are changing climates and destroying the biodiversity that protects all life.
In short: We are about to crash and burn. | |
