Description: Small nocturnal mammal with brownish grey fur with white speckles and distinctive white rings around eyes.
Diet: Carnivorous – insects, lizards and small mammals and birds.
Distribution and Habitat: Endangered – very rare animals found along the southern coastline east of Albany. They nest amongst dense leaf litter and prefer low dense vegetation or sandy soil.
